Detailed correlations at regional and local scale of the Permian Rotliegend of NW Europe
The study aims to establish a new standard in Rotliegend stratigraphy, both in terms of the detailed scale (5 to 10 m resolution) and regional scale. Principles of synchronicity of events rather than lithostratigraphic principles form the basis of the study. For the first time this high-resolution stratigraphy is established, with the use of CycloLog® software, for the Upper Rotliegend across the whole Southern Permian Basin from onshore UK to central Poland. Regional well-to-well correlations are presented, with relevance to your exploration program. Correlation in selective areas with high well density in the UK and the Netherlands will demonstrate the potential impact of the new stratigraphy and correlation on production projects.
The database consists of more than 100 wells, released by sponsors in the Netherlands, UK, Poland, Denmark and Germany.
The main sponsors of the study are the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands (NITG-TNO), the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij B.V. (NAM) and Conoco U.K. Limited.
Other data sponsors are GEUS (Denmark), DTI (UK), POGC, Geological Bureau-Geonafta (Poland) and BEB (Germany).
The study was finalised in December 2001. The study is now available to non-sponsor companies. For information, prices and terms, please contact us at info@enres.nl.
