Oil and Gas Exploration

ENRES staff and Associates have worked in many basins around the world. They have worked on a wide variety of exploration plays in frontier areas and in mature basins, and have been successful in finding oil and gas. Through this exposure and experience ENRES and its associates has a thorough understanding of what ‘makes a play work’.

The unique combination of advanced stratigraphic and sedimentologic principles and the CycloLog® software, integrated with conventional exploration methods and techniques, results in high-level insight in the distrfibution of reservoir, source and seal in a given basin. In frontier exploration, this approach enables to rapidly zoom in on the high-potential areas. In mature areas, new plays may be developed or existing faiways upgraded.

ENRES and Associates have carried out many stratigraphic and sedimentological studies for major oil and gas companies. In addition, advanced R&D work is carried out, combining data from outcrop and the subsurface. This put ENRES and Associates at the leading edge of developments in sedimentology and stratigraphy.

Last but not least, the experience of ENRES and Associates in business development ensures that the technical evaluations and recommendations are made within a realistic BD framework.

We offer the following services:

  • ADVANCED EXPLORATION
Integrated sedimentological and cyclostratigraphic studies. Within a near-synchronous high-resolution regional stratigraphic framework, the distribution of units with reservoir, source and seal potential is evaluated with a high degree of accuracy.
  • FAIRWAY MAPPING
Development of fairway maps or re-evaluation of existing fairway maps based on a thorough analysis or reservoir, source and seal.
  • NEW VENTURES
Evaluation of new opportunities (license rounds, farm-ins, etc.) Based on the large experience of ENRES and Associates, in combination with the advanced data interpretation techniques.
