Field Development and Production
The concepts of cyclostratigraphy in combination with the propriety software CycloLog® are a powerful tool for the characterization of oil and gas reservoirs. Through integration with sedimentary facies descriptions and interpretations from cores, the CycloLog® spectral and electrofacies analyses result in well zonations and well-to-well correlations at scales of 5-10 m. Detailed 3-D geological layer models are made.
Petrophysical data such as porosity and permeability is used to modify the geological layer model to a reservoir layer model.
The unique techniques in combination with conventional methods produce a detailed model of the reservoir which, within a near-synchronous stratigraphic framework, addresses issues like sandbody connectivity, lateral continuity of layers, stacking of reservoir units and by-passed pay.
We offer the following services:
- High-resolution stratigraphic well zonations and well-to-well correlations from standard CycloLog® spectral log attribute analyses of wireline log data.
- Net sediment accumulation rates from advanced CycloLog® spectral log analyses, and conversions from the depth to relative geological time domain.
- Electrofacies characterization through single or multiple-log cluster analysis.
- Evaluation of core descriptions and interpretations, and calibration with electrofacies analysis.
- Routine conventional log analysis ( φ, Sw); advanced log analysis (through cooperation with Digital Formation or Byerley Geosciences).
- Analysis of core petrophysical data ( φ, K).
- Integrated services to create a detailed reservoir characterization and a high-resolution 3-D reservoir layer model.
